Custom single family, production housing and multiple family buildings;
Commercial tenant improvements, retail shops, offices, banks, restaurants,
theater clubs, airport terminal ticketing, warehousing, repair garages,
public storage facilities, commercial conversions; Recreational and sports
buildings; Post Offices; Outdoor field sports facilities; Educational Buildings
- elementary, middle and high schools. As senior planner at Azure Green, Cory's responsibilities
include land use planning and research, site plan conceptualization, design
and development, presentations, feasibility studies and administrative coordination
with governmental jurisdictions and application processing to meet state
and local environmental regulations and codes. Cory also performs civil
engineering designs at Azure Green for site development permits on new development
projects. Cory's educational background includes a Bachelors of Architecture
from U.C. Berkeley, teaching credentials in Architecture from U.C. San Francisco
and Master of Arts in Environmental Planning from San Francisco State University.
Cory taught architecture, engineering and construction at San Francisco's Community College, Dept of Architecture from 1973-85, and was the instructional coordinator/teacher in the early 1970's for his local chapter American Institute of Architect's sponsored man power training program for on-the-job trainees. Cory was principal of his own architectural/interiors design firm for ten years in San Francisco before moving to Washington. He joined the engineering firm of Paul Green Associates located in Bellevue, Washington from 1988 to 1992, then Leroy Surveyors & Engineers located in Puyallup, Washington from 1995 to 2006. Cory was in active military service from 1968-71 as a commissioned Army Officer after graduating from the Army's Artillary and Missile School in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Cory is a Vietnam Veteran. He also served in Monterrey, California as Ft. Ord's Post Safety Officer. Cory is married with two children - a son who practices corporate law and a daughter who teaches as professor of English and Ethnic Studies. |
